The US State Department has made a determination approving a potential foreign military sale of RQ-21A Blackjack UAS to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced on 24 May.
In a package worth $80 million, the UAE has requested 20 RQ-21A Blackjack UAS. Also included are 40 GPS with Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module Type II, air vehicle support equipment including eight Ground Control Stations, four launchers, and four retrievers; spare and repair parts and support services.
If the sale goes ahead, Insitu will be the prime contractor. Full article
